Biography and CV

Bill Humphrey is a Newton MA City Councilor, an honors graduate of the University of Delaware (Political Science B.A. with minors in Political Communication, History, and Geography), a former magazine editor / policy think-tanker / ghostwriter, a former history and current affairs talk radio and podcast host, and a political campaign consultant. (Also a 2009 Eagle Scout in Troop 182 in Wellesley MA.)

His undergraduate thesis was on speechwriting for presidential conventions, with a focus on American Dream rhetoric in the nomination acceptance speeches from 1932 to 2008.

Bill also took courses at UMass Lowell in graphic design, typography, Photoshop, web design, and UX/UI, completing their 10-course certificate program in Graphic Design & Digital Imaging. He will be starting the UMass Boston graduate History program in Fall 2025.

Bill is a former assistant speech and debate coach for high schoolers and a founding member of the Newton South High School debate squad.
